The 12-week Double Bridge Training Program is for new and experienced distance runners who want to tackle the hills of Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. Each participant receives a comprehensive, training schedule with 4-5 days of running per week.
The group trains together on Wednesdays at 5:30pm & Saturdays at 6am for training runs. Weekly workouts include: hill training, tempo runs, interval runs, middle/long distance runs.
Participants must be able to comfortably run a 5k in 40min. Participants need a pair of properly fit running shoes and technical fabric socks prior to starting training.

Meet Lesley, one of the running coaches for the 2025 Double Bridge 15K. Lesley has been running since she was in
college, and started training for her first race in 2002. She has been coaching for Running Wild for 3 years, and
coaching running for over 10 years. She specializes in training distances from 5k to marathon but her favorite race is
the Double Bridge 15K. Lesley is a well equipped coach as she has a Doctorate and certification in Heatlh Ed Specialty,
as well as an ACSM certification in Exercise Physiology. Lesley is also CPR and First Aid certified.
Meet Zoey Matthews, one of the coaches for the 2025 Double Bridge 15K. Zoey started running while conditioning for
soccer and has been running ever since for 23 years. Zoey has been a coach for over 5 years and coaches distances
from a 5K all the way up to a half marathon. Her favorite local race is the 4th of July 5K!
