About the Race:
September 8, 2018 | 7:30am
The Marine Corps League and TEL Staffing & HR are proud to present the 35th Annual 5k Charity Run/Walk in Downtown Pensacola.
Why You Should Join In:
The race will begin in front of Seville Square, wind through the streets of Downtown, continuing around Veteran’s Memorial Park & ending at Seville Square. Started in 1983, the original charity race was organized with the goal of helping families of the 241 American service members killed in the bombing attack on the Marine barracks in Beirut. Today, the purpose of the race is to give back to the Pensacola community that so willingly supports Marine training.
All proceeds go directly to:
- Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast
- New Horizons of Northwest Florida
- Escambia Westgate School
- The Miracle League of Pensacola
- Gulf Coast Kids House
- LEAD Academy of Santa Rosa
In 2017 the Marine Corps League and Marine Corps Aviation Association raised in excess of $20,000 for these five local charities. With your participation we expect to raise even more in the future.
