Race 1: 50k Trail Run
Looking to venture into the world of ultra running? This is the race for you. A challenging but relatively flat 50k course along the beautiful Jackson Trail between Bear & Hurricane Lakes in the Blackwater River State Forest is the perfect place to push yourself to new distances, or check your fitness for those upcoming longer races. The event boasts tons of support, so if you have ever thought about it, now is the time.

Where do I need to park and what can I expect on the course?
This is an out-and-back course along the beautiful Jackson Trail between Bear & Hurricane Lakes. There are aid stations every 4-6 miles along the course with water, an electrolyte drink and a variety of nutritional options. The course limit is 9 hours.

Yeah you will! And we’ll have tons of delicious Sonny’s BBQ. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Stick around and enjoy a delicious meal. The post race area is completely family friendly. The award ceremony follows directly after then run. You can expect accurate scoring with results posted online the same day as the race.
What kind of cool swag do I get for registering?
All participants get a sweet custom Brooks long sleeve shirt ($24 retail value!). Sizing is gender specific and runs pretty true to size. All finishers get a SWEET WOODALLION medal! Also, don’t forget the post race party for great food and music!
